FAQ #1: What’s the difference between a marketing director and a fractional CMO for small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs)?

ANSWER: It depends. It depends on the size of the business. Mid to large-sized businesses function best with a leader overseeing and managing a larger team of 3-4 people to manage the day-to-day marketing tasks,. While a small to mid-sized business may function well with one marketing leader alone or with a smaller team of 2-3 people. A marketing director title doesn't negate their leadership skills, but a fractional CMO title invokes more of the oversight nature provided by a senior-level marketing leader.
